pb scott schliebe usfws Polar Bear Endangered Species!Polar bears are actually more and more becoming threatened due to a myriad of issues consisting of industry projects, ice in their natural environment melting, as well as human aspect. By a long way the largest root cause is the adjustment in the natural world of the polar bear. Lots of life-threatening conditions are actually produced for these cold climate bears when the ice melts. Global warming that is tied to industrialization as well as projects such as driving a car, burning coal, as well as additional human ventures creates the ice melting.

Ice melting should be actually a primary focus of conservation efforts for the polar bear as this is actually impacting the polar bear the most. Polar bears rely on huge blocks of moving ice to execute their routine exercises linked to staying alive. Polar breeds prey on fat-laden seals from these blocks of ice, they mate, as well as some also deliver their cubs on them. The complication by having the ice melting is that numerous polar bears have gone hungry since there is not ample ice for them to hunt their prey. This affects their ability to reproduce and bring their cubs to term that directly impacts population numbers. Additionally, when ice is likewise far from land, polar bears are going to drown trying to swim far distances to locate them. All of these elements have actually made the polar bear more land bound.

When polar bears are on land they are actually more likely to come face-to-face by having a predator, individuals. In some cases individuals hunt polar bears as trophies as well as other folks eradicate polar bears while defending themselves. Individuals additional influence polar bears when companies construct infrastructure in their natural atmosphere, thereby altering it irrevocably.

That Is actually Helping, as well as Exactly how
Significant contributors to the fight to cut the Arctic Polar Bear consist of the Coca-Cola Company and the World Fauna Fund. Together these organizations are actually raising money to groundwork what is actually generating world-wide temperature change as well as functioning with governmental agencies to oversee greenhouse gas exhausts. Other principal projects feature efforts to avoid unfavorable human connections featuring poaching as well as exceptional tourism and guarding critical habitat locations such as birthing dens.

You can easily get entailed in the mission to conserve the Arctic Polar Bears by performing immediately with the World Fauna Fund. Start your gratifying voyage today by visiting Polar Bears at World Wild Life.

Thousands of species become extinct every year.

  2. systemF says:

In America, white people seem to be on a significant population decline. I believe they now make up only about 66% of the population in the U.S.

  3. Stephanie W says:

suprisingly, about a species goes extinct about every 6 hours because of all the habitat loss

  4. alias89 says:

Polar bears maybe but I am betting on humans as the next species to go don’t ya think we are the only one killing ourselves not for survival but for greed.

  5. birdgirl says:

Mountain Gorilla, African Elephant, Siberian Tiger, several bird species in Hawaii.

  6. Suzy Q says:

Help ME SAVE THE POLAR BEARS!? What can I do to prevent the extinction of the Polar Bears ? I feel so sorry for them. Oh, was there another answer above yours #2? I know, totally ignorant to the facts, right?

  7. aap1970 says:

Did you know on a daily basis many species go extinct. Just something to think about.

What are the causes of polar bears getting closer to extinction? Why is it important to understant the issue? I am doing a ecology project in my biology class. We chose a conservation issue to focus on and we are to create a flyer on our issue and present it in front of the class. I am going to choose the topic about polar bears nearing extinction. Any input will help. Thanks!

I did a similar project in biology a couple years ago. There is a ton of information out there… What I found is that melting glaciers are creating greater distance between ice floes. Hence, polar bears have to swim greater distances from piece to piece. They get tired and drown. In 2005, I think, there were more than 70 found dead from drowning. Additionally, with warming temperatures, polar bears are moving into habitats they didn’t previously occupy, and leaving ones they did. People and polars don’t mix too well. Another issue is the entire food chain itself. All aspects of the environment are changing… too little food for this leads to too little food for that leads to hungry polar bears. Like I said, there’s a bunch of stuff out there – google! Good luck!

Cause: global warming and the shrinking of the ice caps Importance: increasing consequences of global warming, extinction of species, harmful effects of mankind on the planets, protecting our planet for future generations

  11. ron g says:

I know for a fact one reason for their current condition is due to them drowning. With the decline of the polar ice caps many polar bears swim out and they do not have a place to catch their breath. The melting of the ice caps is proportional to the decline in the polar bear habitat.
